This is a tree that was photographed in the Jul/Aug1997 Aust Wood Worker Magazine. In 8/89 the tree was 54 inches gbh and the branch, 33 inches gbh. In 12/09, the tree was 63 inches gbh and the branch 42 inches gbh. The question I’m asking in the Aust WW Magazine is whether I should cut off the branch. Now, I would be absolutely against cutting such a large and healthy branch. In fact, I never cut any live branches on my RC. The tree is also now Inline image 1 competing against some other trees and is putting its growth into growing tall. The photo shows a branch that died and I have successfully cut off and the tree is growing over the stub.
